We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce that we have agreed to a partnership for the From the Finney Podcast with LancsLive.
This is something that here at From the Finney, myself, Oli and Jimmy have wanted and worked hard towards achieving but in all honesty, I never actually thought it would happen. I know for a fact Oli didn’t.
The fact that it’s happened is one thing, but the fact we’ve partnered with one of the biggest and best-known brands in Lancashire is brilliant for us and I’m really excited to see how this partnership will progress.
From the Finney x LancsLive
So, a little bit about this partnership and what you can expect to see, and hear, in the coming weeks.
The site will remain ad-free, this is purely a podcast partnership. There will be a 30-second long, mid-podcast spot for LancsLive in our next 5 Monday episodes and you’ll also see the LancsLive logo on our Monday podcast episode collateral across our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).
LancsLive’s very own Preston North End reporter, George Hodgson, will be joining us on our monthly review podcast episodes this coming Monday and also at the end of November.
Finally, myself, Jimmy and Oli will all be taking it in turns writing opinion pieces every Monday through November, exclusively for LancsLive. Jimmy is first up this coming Monday.
Speaking about the partnership, I managed to get some serious words from Oli who said: “Since Jake headhunted me in early 2019 with an idea for a fan led website, From the Finney has grown beyond my initial expectations.
“To get to a point where we’re able to team up with LancsLive is testament to all involved, and we like to think our content has improved fan accessibility to all things Preston North End.
“From the podcast to the analytical pieces, we feel FTF is continuing to develop and we look forward to working closely with LancsLive moving forward.”
Jimmy said: “Since joining the boys at From the Finney just over a year ago its been great to see the podcast and the website go from strength to strength and we’re all really looking forward to what the future holds.
“The podcast has become a staple for many North End fans on their Monday morning commute and it’s great to hear so much positive feedback coming our way.
“We’re all excited by the LancsLive partnership over the next month and the opportunities we hope this will present for all involved moving forward.”
Personally, I echo the sentiments of both Oli and Jimmy. I’m really excited about what the future holds and where this partnership might lead for From the Finney.
Luke Beardsworth, editor of LancsLive, said: “From the Finney has established itself as the Preston North End podcast and we’re delighted to do our bit to help them continue to keep doing great things. I’m a regular listener myself and partnering just felt like a really easy decision.
“We’re excited to bring their writing to our site on a Monday, to have George on the podcast and generally to work with a great group of people.”
Thank you for all of your support over the last 18 months, we’ll keep on keeping on and doing what we do.
